We are not a distributor working from an office. Our entire team consists of skin therapists who have stood in the treatment room themselves, or who still do. When you call us, you speak to someone who knows what it is to have a client in front of you with skin that does not go by the book.
Ten years ago I opened the doors of NovaSkin in Apeldoorn. I wanted a place where skin was not treated as a surface, but understood as a system. What I learned in the treatment room in those years, I had found in no training: that behind every skin lies a story of its own, that the most intensive treatment is rarely the best, and that you only really achieve something once you understand why a skin does what it does.
That conviction changed the way I work. I stopped following protocols and started asking questions. Why does this skin react like this? What is happening at cell level? What does it need first? And I went looking for brands that took those same questions seriously.
At a certain point I realised that this knowledge did not have to stay within the walls of NovaSkin. All over the Netherlands and Belgium there are skin professionals who are exceptionally good at their work, but who could mean much more to their clients with the right knowledge, the right brands and someone who thinks along with them. That is why NovaDerm Group came about.
What drives me today is the moment a partner suddenly sees a skin differently. No longer as a problem that has to be solved, but as a story that wants to be understood.
Suzan is a skin therapist and the regular point of contact for our partners in Brabant and Limburg. She also makes sure that orders, invoicing and questions are handled quickly and carefully. With her background in accountancy she looks beyond the skin alone: partners with a question about margins, purchasing or the figures behind their practice can come to her. She is the one who keeps the lines short.
Ajdina is a skin therapist and runs our training. As an account manager she is the point of contact for partners in the Randstad and Belgium. She thinks along about product choices and treatment build-up, and translates the theory from the training into what it means in your treatment room.
Lotte is a skin therapist and still works in the treatment room at NovaSkin every day. She brings that experience into her contact with partners in Noord-Holland. She knows from her own practice what a therapist runs into, and what it takes to help a client further.
